Lloyd D. Ward – Chief Leadership Officer

Mr. Ward has served as Chief Executive Officer and Secretary General of the United States Olympic Committee, Chairman and CEO of Maytag Corporation, Chairman & CEO of iMotors, Vice President of Operations of PepsiCo Inc., Division President of Frito-Lay, and Vice President and General Manager of Procter & Gamble. Lloyd is currently a member of the Board of Directors of BodyBlocks Worldwide, LLC, and Belo Corporation and was previously a member of the Board of Directors of General Motors Corporation, JP Morgan Chase Co. and Central and Southwest Utilities Corporation. He has also served on the Board of Directors of several non-profit organizations including the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, Ronald McDonald House, Dallas YMCA, Paul Quinn College, Jimmy Johnson Foundation, and Inroads of Southwest Ohio.

Lloyd’s leadership has been publicly recognized by several honors and achievements, including being named Black Enterprise Magazine's "Executive of the Year", one of Business Week Magazine's "Top 25 Executives", and BrandWeek Magazine's "Marketer of the Year". Not only was he was embraced by Business Week Magazine as it's cover story and had his life story included in the Good Morning America Millennium "Y2K" Time Capsule.  He, also, received the "Outstanding Leadership Award" from the Center for Creative Leadership, the Jack Breslin "Lifetime Achievement Award" and the MSU "Alumni of the Year Award".

Mr. Ward holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University and an MBA from Xavier University.

Rubert Ward – Chief Operating Officer & President of CleanTech Solutions Technology Company

Mr. Rubert Ward has over thirty years of experience managing domestic and international operations, including extensive experience in the waste tire recycling and energy industries.  As Plant Manager, he managed the successful start-up of a $400 million dollar 565 Mw combined cycle facility and a $100 million dollar 35 Mw biomass co-generation facility.  Mr. Ward has also held senior executive positions with CMS Energy Corporation with investments and operations in eighteen countries.

He has had financial responsibility for $200 million dollars of generation assets, which includes Jamaica Private Power Company (Kingston, Jamaica), eight hydroelectric plants and two wind power plants.

Rubert has recently been appointed a Deputy Sheriff for the Parish of Avoyelles, which aids the Cottonport Monofill in their Work Release Program for the State of Louisiana.  He has over 35 years experience as a martial artist and over twenty years of teaching martial arts. He has owned karate schools in Michigan, Connecticut and Louisiana.

Rubert is a Navy veteran completing 12 years of active duty service and received an honorable discharge.  During his military service he spent over two years in Vietnam and served on Admiral Zumwalt’s staff at the embassy in Saigon.

He holds an AS in Industrial Engineering, BA in Management, Masters in Business Management and completed one year of his doctoral program from Western Michigan University.

Lloyd Ward II – President of Cottonport Monofill & CleanTech Solutions Louisiana

Mr. Lloyd Ward II has overall responsibility for day-to-day operations of the Cottonport Monofill.  His responsibilities span all administrative, financial, operations and maintenance functions.  In 2007, Cottonport Monofill realized a 20% increase in revenue and 33% increase in net profits while decreasing employee turnover by 25%.

Prior to joining Cottonport Monofill, Mr. Ward II held executive sales and management positions with Aerus Electrolux, BodyBlocks Nutrition Systems and Solutions Media, Inc.  In each of these positions, Lloyd II led new business initiatives involving the development, sales, and profitability of new product lines. He also implemented programs to develop personnel, reduce turnover and improve customer service.  Additionally, Lloyd II held consultant and management positions with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting where he ran a highly successful project at GTE telecom services and the launch of XM Satellite Radio.

Lloyd II holds a BSME degree from Harvard University in Mechanical Engineering.

 

Lance D. Ward – President of Carbon Solutions

Mr. Lance Ward has overall responsibility for the strategic direction and operations for the carbon business.  His responsibilities include strategic planning, source and customer development, as well as oversight for all administrative, financial, and logistics functions. 
Lance brings an extensive background in management consulting, marketing, finance, and senior leadership to CTSW.  He has spent several years providing strategic and process consulting to Energy and High Tech clients while holding positions at McKinsey & Company and Arthur Andersen.  Also, Lance has executive experience as co-founder and vice president of Kaos Sports International, a designer and manufacturer of performance apparel.  He has served as the president of BodyBlocks Nutrition Systems, an international functional drink company.  And, he has acquired finance and investment experience while working for Accel-KKR and Goldstone Partners.  
Lance holds a bachelor of science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and masters of business administration from Harvard Business School.  

Greg Jordan - President of CleanTech Solutions Technology Delivery Organization

Greg Jordan has over thirty years of engineering, product launch R&D, and organizational leadership experience. 

Greg began his career as a Natural Gas pipeline engineer.  At Procter & Gamble, he led design teams for a new Kraft Pulp Mill, and a gas turbine cogeneration project.  He led start up efforts for a wood waste fuel boiler system, and an orange juice freeze concentration plant.  Afterwards, he was selected to lead several new product launch efforts, including a project management organization responsible for over $100M in projects each year.  His final assignment at P&G was as Director of Health Care Engineering, supporting plant and product initiatives.

In 1997, Greg was named Vice President of Technology for the Maytag Company, and led new organizational change efforts in R&D.  This role evolved into the Chief Innovation Officer role where he created Maytag’s Worldwide Innovation Network of university, internal and outside technical groups dedicated to technology development and execution.

As President and Founder of Peak Performance Solutions (PPS) a management consulting firm, he has assisted for-profit and nonprofit clients in achieving high performance organization, with a focus on Strategic Planning, Leadership Development, and Cycle Time Reduction.

Greg holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Howard University and has taken Advanced Business Courses at both Howard and Xavier Universities.

Guangyuan Li – Senior Strategic Advisor

Mr. Li is a Chinese-American with many years of strategic, management and operational experience.  Since 1985 Mr. Li has served as Director, or Chairman or Vice Chairman for 12 US or Sino-American joint venture companies.  He is currently serving as Chairman, JSL International (Consulting Company), Senior Consultant for US companies: BodyBlocks Worldwide, LLC and senior advisor for CleanTech Solution Worldwide, LLC (CTSW).  Previously, he served as Senior Consultant, Maytag Corporation and Vice President, Maytag International where he was responsible for the China Market Development.

Mr. Li was Co-Founder and President of AeRa Cooperation in Oakland, California. He has a rich background of serving as the Head of UN research projects in 5 countries (Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and India) in addition to being Deputy Chief Engineer Beijing Changfeng Industry Corporation and Director of Optimum System Design Division, Beijing Information and Control Institute.  Mr. Li has published 3 professional books and numerous articles in China. 

Mr. Li graduated from Science and Technology University of China in Beijing and was a visiting professor in University of California at Berkeley from 1980-1984.

William Petrich – Chief Marketing Officer

Mr. Petrich has over 40 years of general and carbon chemistry/marketing experience and is well known within industry for his cost effective approaches in new utilizations, uses and formulations of rubber, plastics, and polymers in commercial applications. He has performed research and development and has held operational management positions in the rubber and plastic industries. He earned a BS in Chemistry, University of Illinois;     a Masters in Chemistry from University of Chicago; and has certifications from University of Michigan in High Polymer Chemistry, and Chemistry of Hazardous Materials from Vanderbilt University. He also taught courses at University of Illinois at Champagne/Urbana.  Bill is certified to teach hazardous materials classes, and also is a certified ISO trainer for ISO 14000 – Environmental Compliance.  

During Bill’s tenure as Chief Chemist and Lead Formulator at Borg-Warner Corporation; (Brummer Seal Division), he enabled the following polymers:

  • Polyacrylate Rubber for valve stem seals, Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler.
  • Styrene Butadiene rubber for gaskets, hose and specialty parts, Clark, Ford, GM, Jeep
  • Silicone rubber for rear main-bearing oil seals, Ford, GM, Chrysler
  • Silicone rubber seals for water pumps, Ford Motor Company.
  • EPDM rubber for electrical cable housing.

Bill applied Research and Commercialization projects include:

  • International Harvester Corporation, Chicago Illinois -Application of palladium chloride in the pre-preparation of thermoplastic resins.
  • Solo Cup Company, Chicago Illinois - Use of paper-cup coating in the successful development of “blister packaging”, sold to International Paper Company.
  • 3M Company, St. Paul Minnesota - Secondary and tertiary use of recovered rubber blends for building industry applications, sold to Rohm & Haas Corporation
  • Procter & Gamble Corporation, Chicago Illinois, Cincinnati Ohio - Process to recover stearic-acid, sold to Borg Warner Corporation for rubber lubricant in elastomeric seals.
  • Enterprise Paint Manufacturing, Chicago Illinois - Emulsion coating for secondary fiber, sold to Murnane   Paper Company, Northbrook, Illinois as a “lipid resistant” finish.
  • Rohm & Haas, (Morton Automotive Division) Lansing, Illinois - Developed secondary product process from residue for use in synthetic lumber.
Advanced Fuel Research, East Hartford, Connecticut - Process to “activate” carbon black derived from       thermal conversion of used tires, sold through Department of Energy to New England power plants. The   project involved the capture of mercury emissions.

Billy BoJack – Manager of Feedstock Supply and Logistics

Mr. BoJack has over 35 years experience in the scrap metal and scrap tire business.  As owner of his own business he developed business relationships with various state DNR/DEQ officials, county commissioners and city officials.  He has negotiated contracts with trucking companies for shipping baled materials and waste tires to scrap yards in Colorado and Iowa.

He worked in Iowa for over 30 years in the business of processing waste appliances and waste tire baling which provided ranchers with baled tires for wind breaks and fences. 

Mr. BoJack holds an Associate Degree in Business from Iowa Central Community College.
